The extension committee is updating the list of volunteers who are willing to provide meals for families who have had a new baby, undergone surgery, are suffering a loss, or find themselves in a difficult situation. Tropical Storm Hermine hit the hometown of Cedarhome member Susie Bedker earlier this month. The flooding of the swollen Papaloapan River caused many people there to flee from their homes, including Susie’s parents and many extended family mem- bers. The adult Sunday School class will be taking a special Helping the Hurting offering for the next few Sundays to help the people of Tlacotalpan. Prayerfully consider how you might help, and continue to remember the people of Tlacotalpan in your prayers.
Many money-filled bottles were collected on Sunday, September 26 to help Stanwood’s Teen Parent Ministries. Great job, Cedarhome family! If you forgot to return your bottle…no worries! Just bring it next Sunday or drop it by the church office. Thanks!
