Why did we choose to do this song?

1. The Lyrics

The lyrics to this song are pointed upward and like a direct plea to God. Its repentant and poetic Psalm 38:21-22 says “O Lord, do not forsake me; be not far for me, O my God. Come quickly to help me, O Lord my Savior.” Save us from our ways, O God

2. The Music

The music is interesting and matches the lyrics perfectly. The melody is catchy and easy to follow along with. Its a perfect example of creativity

3. Fitting Congregational Prayer

We have alot of songs that we sing on sunday about being happy or joyful that Jesus saved us, but we have few that are speaking directly to Him and asking for forgiveness. In return, His arms are wide open so we “run” to Him, and repent from our ways
