On February 22nd, 2009 – many folks from the Cedarhome family gathered during the Sunday School hour to WRITE IT ON THE DOORFRAMES! On that day, instead of finding a seat for Sunday School (both youth and adults alike), we found sharpie pens and got creative.

This was an opportunity for us to share our hopes for the future in a unique way…we literally wrote on the doorposts, and the beams, and the interior framing – you get the idea.. .

Deuteronomy 6:6-9

These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

This Sunday, March 8th, we will be combining for ONE service at 10:00 (Daylight Savings Time!) at Stanwood Middle School!  Nursery will be available at the church.  This is commitment Sunday: We will make our pledge commitments of inviting, belonging, serving and giving that day, so bring your cards all filled out in the envelope!  We will also be celebrating the Lord’s supper, altogether as a family that day, so prepare your hearts for that as well.  If you have any further questions call the church office! 629-9771!  Again, don’t forget, the clocks change this week and you lose an hour, so don’t be late and don’t show up to the wrong spot!  Come on out and join us for a great combined service at Stanwood Middle School.

We had a spectacular prayer meeting on Saturday Night, Feb 21st.  Despite the freezing cold and dark, we had 60+ people.  I am so glad that we were able to have our very first meeting be a prayer meeting!
