Thanks to all who have helped us in the last few weeks with site work on the parking lot, paving, laying the sod, and so much more. You can be praying for the next steps: finishing the curbing, striping the parking lot, signs and various other minor details… we are getting closer to time for inspections!

We had a crew from the church preparing all week long and today we have a paving crew doing their work as we speak!

Praise God for the perfect timing of the weather so far. Pray that it holds just as long as they need to finish.
Also thanks to the various people that provided goodies and appreciation gifts for the workers, coordinated by Debbie Klein and Dawn Scott. I (Jason) had the privilege of handing out brownies to the paving crew made by our very own Peggy Leighton and the looks of gratitude were heart warming.
Also, we are going to be laying down grass sod on Saturday starting at 8:00, so come on out with your boots, shovels and gloves and let’s add some beautiful green to contrast with the fresh black pavement.

Hello everyone! We needed some ladders and sent the word out via email and soon had more than 10 calls! Just wanted to give you an update to let you know that work is progressing! We are working on the siding again, so if you are interested in helping out, give Mike Pearce a call. If you don’t have his #, call the church office or ask for it on Sunday and we’ll get it to you!
We could also still use some general cleanup around the building, so if you want to grab a bag and walk around the outside of the building and pick up whatever nails, screws, … any trash you find, that would be great!
Finally, be praying as we wait for money to keep coming in and consider exactly which step to take next.

A new 3-year Building Fund Pledge Campaign begins in March, 2009, with informational meetings (Update Meetings) at 7:00 p.m. on February 24, 25, and 26. The theme for this campaign is “BUILDING FOR GOD’S GLORY”. There will be a Banquet at Warm Beach Christian Conference Center at 5 p.m.on March 1. Childcare will be available at all the meetings and the banquet. The Sundays in March are dedicated to this campaign.
Seeing the foundation for our new building being created reminds me of how important it is to have a solid place to stand and grow. Thanks to all that helped make this possible, especially God, without whom we would be living in the shifting sands of this world.
