Good News, Ladies! If you are planning on attending Women’s Retreat at Warm Beach Camp Fri-Sun, May 4th-6th, the cost has gone down! We will be staying in Warner House, so the cost is $151. Precept Upon Precept Studies at Cedarhome

Freedom in Christ (by Neil T. Anderson) led by Darrell Weiland in the Chapel…learn how to resolve personal & spiritual conflicts, renew your mind and experience victory as a child of God.

The Sermon on the Mount led by Chris Maier in the fellowship hall.

The Book of Genesis led by Jason Kelley in the Worship Center (starts back up March 4).

Marriage Conference

Consider attending ‘The Art of Marriage’ on Feb 3rd & 4th. This is a Family Life conference, sponsored by Island Baptist. Online registration is easy at https://islandbaptistchurch.webconnex.com/art_of_marriage. Cost is $50/couple (lunch included), and the event runs from 7-9:30pm on Friday and 9am-4pm on Saturday.

The Art of Marriage consists of six video sessions and an accompanying manual that provides couples with projects to help apply the principles taught during each session. The Art of Marriage brings together some of the most respected and influential pastors and experts on marriage and family all in one setting. It also brings a fresh approach to a video event by weaving together some of the following elements to help couples fully experience God’s design for marriage:

Abraham was called “the friend of God.” What can you learn from him that will ground your faith, challenge your walk, and give you hope for the future? We will use an inductive Bible study method to discover truth. The study is open for men and women to attend and includes an orientation plus 6 lessons. Orientation Dec. 28th and then class each week on Wednesdays, choose either 10-Noon or 7-9PM in the Fellowship Hall. Sign up soon for group book order deadline. Adam and Eve, Noah’s Ark, and the Tower of Babel — see God’s plan for marriage, the beginning of sin, God’s judgement of the wicked, and His plan of salvation in Genesis 3-11. When class meets September 21st we will discuss the first week’s homework. Each week (Wednesdays, 10am-noon) we discuss our homework and then view a DVD teaching by scientist Dr. Kurt Wise. While these three women each speak on a distinctive topic that the Holy Spirit has led them to teach, the messages result in a marvelous blend. Class began June 22. The second class will be held July 6. Classes are held Wednesday mornings in the Fellowship Hall at 10am and Wednesday evenings at Faith C.’s home at 7pm.
