Cedarhome Congregation Choir
We don’t have an official choir here at Cedarhome, but I consider YOU, the congregation, the Cedarhome Congregational Choir!
So choir, we should practice! Why? Well, don’t you just love it when you can really sing along to a song that has become a favorite? At first you had to spend a little time learning how to sing it, but once you do, you can really sing out and put your whole body into it. You start to think about the deeper meaning. You can really sing it with emotion and emphasis? You can really engage with God’s presence. This is a wonderful part of learning to love and worship God with all of your heart, soul, mind and strength.
The scriptures teach us to “sing a new song” (all over the Psalms including 96:1, plus Isaiah 42:10, and many more) so it’s obviously important to God to keep our praises fresh and keep expanding our relationship with him and not get stuck in a rut in our relationship saying only the same things over and over.
But there are so many great new songs out there! Which new ones should we learn? Well, we want to give you a chance to practice and learn the new ones we are singing and soon will be singing at Cedarhome! And we want to make it as convenient for you as possible, as well as support the wonderful songwriters, musicians, technicians, artists and publishing companies that bring us these wonderful songs, so…
Buy a Choir CD and Listen to it! If you’d rather just purchase the songs for yourself, that’s great too, but we’ve taken the hassle out of it for you. Get us $ and we’ll hand you a CD that you can walk right out to your car with and put in your CD player. And if you give us your email address, we’ll email the download links to you for the songs you just purchases from itunes/amazonmp3 (depending on who had the song for cheaper!)
Also we have songbooks printed for you with words, bible verses to read and even chordcharts if you want to play along!
If you have any questions, let me know … otherwise enjoy the music and we’ll see you on Sunday morning choir!
