Welcome to the worship page.  It’s great to have you here!  If you are interested in helping out in the areas of the arts or technical services, this is the place to be!  We have a vibrant community of artists here, but we would love to have you join us!

The first step in joining the worship team is to contact Pastor Jason, and plan on coming to Worship Practice with us.

Wednesdays are worship practice days, so here is the rundown:

4:00-5:00 JAM time.

If you are just interested in checking things out and want to explore your artistic/musical/technical/creative side, come one out!  Never played the drums before, but want to give it a shot?  Eager to try your hand at some video editing?  Want some a chance to JAM out on the Bass with some beginners?  This is the place for you.  This time is open to all, no advance notice required, 6th grade and up!

5:00-6:00 Hang Time and Worship Team Dinner.

Community is an important value at Cedarhome and we want to take time to get to know each other, play around and also pray with each other.  This is our time to keep it real, and not just all about the work.  If you are at all interested in joining the worship team, we would love to have you come and join us for dinner.  Just give jason a heads up that you are coming, so we don’t run out!

6:00-6:30ish  Training and Prayer Time

We value your spiritual life over any possible musical contribution that you might bring.  We all want to be healthy, so this is our time to really sit face to face with each other and God and make sure we are on the right track spiritually.

6:30-8:30  Practice Time

This is the more meat-and-potatoes worship practice that most people are expecting.  We don’t necessarily go ove the songs we will play on Sunday, but will most likely play some of them.  The greater emphasis is not on repetoire, but instead on bringing our skills up to par, so that we are able to play along and do what we need to do on Sundays.

Once you have become part of the artistic family, if you will, Jason will ask you to be part of the rotation on the schedule and away you go!  Artistic expression can be a vulnerable thing, but we are not in a hurry here, but take our time to really make it a comfortable thing for you and the whole church family.  This is church, not American Idol!
